Meet the Team

The Rev. Bradley Pace, Co-Chair

Bradley Pace serves as the Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Indianapolis. In addition to the Racial Justice and Education Team, he serves on the board of Waycross Camp & Conference Center and the Board of Examining Chaplains for the Diocese. He is married to Katie Elder and they have three children, Isaiah, Clay, and Judah.


Ms. Valeria Philips, Co-Chair

Valeria Phillips, a lifelong Episcopalian and member of St. Philip’s – Indianapolis since 1987. Valeria has been a Vestry member, Diocesan Convention delegate, Administrative Assistant, and Feeding Ministry volunteer. She is currently retired, plays the flute, and is a member of the choir, Women’s Guild (ECW), the Indianapolis Chapter of UBE, Crossroads Neighborhood, Diocesan Racial Justice and Education Team, and the Bishop’s Advisory Committee on Mission Strategy. Outside of church activities, she is Board President for the Saint Florian Youth Development Center, a book club member, and a science fiction fan.


Ms. Helen-Louise Boling

Helen-Louise Boling is a life-long Episcopalian. She has been a parishioner at All Saints in Indianapolis for more than 10 years, and has been on the parish anti-racism committee for 5 or 6 years. As a member of that committee Helen-Louise has organized or coordinated the organization of the All Saints/diocesan Pauli Murray commemoration for the past two years. She completed the Sacred Grounds course of study, and has led a number of anti-racism book studies at All Saints. Helen-Louise is also a member of the Tollie Caution Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE). She currently serves on the vestry at All Saints.


Dr. Michael Landon

Dr. Michael Landon is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), now retired from parish ministry. He serves as a spiritual director, both in person and on Zoom, as well as facilitating retreats. Michael has his Doctor of Ministry degree with a focus on grief and worship. Michael has been attending Christ Church Cathedral since 2018. He currently serves as the Cathedral’s Racial Justice Team’s chair and has co-facilitated various book studies and Sacred Ground. Michael is also actively involved with the LGBTQ+ community in Indianapolis. As a disabled person in a wheelchair, Michael brings a unique perspective and passion to the work of racial justice.

Michael Landon

The Rev. William Morris

William has served as deacon at St. David’s in Bean Blossom for nearly five years. He is an attorney in Bloomington, IN.  He chairs the Legal Redress Committee for the Monroe County branch of the NAACP. In his spare time, he hosts a music show called The Soul Kitchen on the Indiana University NPR affiliate, WFIU. He is married to Dr. Sarah D. Phillips, an anthropology professor at Indiana University with a focus on Disability Rights in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

William is particularly grateful for this opportunity to serve the dioceses. “This is very important and challenging work during a very challenging time.” 


The Rev. Dr. Joél Muñoz (he, him, his)

Fr. Joél Muñoz currently serves as the Interim Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lafayette, Indiana. In addition to serving on the Racial Justice and Education Team, he is a Title IV Intake Officer and serves on the Board of Examining Chaplains. He is married to his husband, Dr. Kyle Futlz, who serves as the Director of Special Education for Herron Classical Schools. Together they reside in Lafayette with their twin daughter and son.


Ms. Natalie Palmer

Natalie Palmer has been a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis since 1980.  She has been an Acolyte, member of the youth group, outreach volunteer, served on the Hospitality Committee, Communications Committee, Discernment Committee, as well as several terms as a Vestry Member.  Serving on this team is an honor and provides opportunity for growth, continuous education for our community, positive/long-lasting change, and the ability to allow voices to be heard that may have otherwise not been given the chance or platform.
