Faith at the Crossroads 4th Cohort Arrives!

Faith at the Crossroads (F@TC) welcomed its 4th cohort of Episcopal Service Corps fellows on August 1st, 2025. This young adult ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Indianapolis is an intentional Christian community of service, formation, discernment and belonging. F@TC invites up to five young adults a year into a lifelong pilgrimage where we seek to form young adults rooted in faith, committed to service, and equipped to be reconciling leaders amidst an unjust and divided society. Our fellows practice a shared rule of life; explore spiritual formation around contemplative practices, liberation theology, and habits of reconciliation; and serve 32 hours a week at site partners connected to their vocational discernment.

Fellows match with partner sites for a 10-month long mentored internship where fellows grow and discern talent, skill, and calling in contribution to the partner site’s ministry or mission. This year’s fellows are serving Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Indianapolis, the ministry and people of Trinity Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, the strategic communications efforts at St. Richard’s Episcopal School, and the mission of Indy Hunger Network.

Look below to learn about the individual fellows and their placement work. If you are a young adult (or know any) exploring what it means to be a person rooted in faith at this stage of life, please check out our website or contact us to get connected with social and spiritual formation programming young adults in our city.

Spotlight on Faith at the Crossroads Fellows and Partner Sites

Franklin Lowe (He/Him):

Franklin Lowe is a second-year member of the Faith @ the Crossroads community. He is also on staff at Indy Hunger Network and St. Richard’s Episcopal School, working with social media, communications, and project management. A native of Atlanta, GA, he earned an MA in History from the College of William & Mary and an MA in Religion from the School of Theology at Sewanee: The University of the South. In between graduate programs, he joined the Community of St. Anselm, an ecumenical intentional community for young people from around the world. He has served as a full-time minister to youth and young adults, a volunteer children’s ministry director, and a parish administrator. A preacher, liturgist, and storyteller, he also loves good books, good food, and good lifts at the gym. This year, Franklin is serving as the St. Benedict’s House community coordinator.

Jackson “Jack” Chamberlain (Any/All):

Jack Chamberlain is entering a second year of service with the Episcopal Service Corps. Jack spent last year at Lawrence House serving as administrator at Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield, MA. There, Jack worked with food bank ministries, led prayer bead workshops, and also led the Cathedral in their first Pride and Juneteenth evensong service. Jack is nonbinary and gender nonconfirming and as such will answer to any pronouns. Jack is a native of Missouri and is a postulant for the holy order of priesthood in that diocese. Jack will serve as Intern to Diocesan Youth & Young Adult Ministries with our Diocese of Indianapolis. Something Jack is really looking forward to would be the focus Faith at The Crossroads has on reconciliation work, and living in a community focused on prayer and faith.

Philip Hope (He/Him):

Philip Hope is joining us from Northern Virginia. Philip spent about nine years growing up in London before moving back to Northern Virginia just before the COVID-19 Pandemic. Philip graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in International Relations and a minor in economics. Philip picked Faith at the Crossroads for two main reasons. First, he came into his faith during his senior year of college and wanted to find a way to explore and develop that faith further with other people. Secondly, Philip has never been to the Midwest. Faith at the Crossroads seems like a great chance to live somewhere new with like minded people. Philip hopes to learn more about ministry, helping other people, and how to maintain those missions throughout his life. Philip will be serving as St. Richard’s Intern for Strategic Communication this year.

Gabriel McCreath (He/Him):

Gabriel McCreath is from Waltham, MA, which is near Boston. He grew up in the Episcopal Church and recently graduated from the College of Wooster, where he majored in religious studies, with a minor in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. Gabriel also participated in groups such as the radio station, the newspaper, and a progressive, ecumenical Christian worship gathering. He has a twin brother who is a senior at Kenyon College. Gabriel is excited to join Faith at the Crossroads because of the opportunities for community and service to others, as well as the program’s emphasis on liberation theology and habits of reconciliation which are all avenues for seeing Christ in everyone, living well with fellow humans, and glorifying God. Gabriel hopes this experience will help him to learn and think more deeply about faith, calling, community, and justice. Gabriel will be serving as an Intern for Parish Administration and Chaplain Support at Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Richard’s Episcopal School.

Gianni Miliotto (He/Him):

Gianni Miliotto graduated in 2024 from Michigan State University. He is coming from a town called Erie in Colorado, about halfway between Boulder and Denver. Gianni grew up in the Episcopal Church and feels a calling to help people in whatever way he can. Gianni doesn’t want to just contribute to the economy, he wants to contribute to society. After doing some research on ways he could make that happen, Gianni found F@TC which he believes aligns with his views and aspirations. Knowing he wants to start his career in a city environment similar to the Detroit area where he grew up, Indianapolis seems like a perfect fit. Through this year, Gianni is hoping to gain a new set of skills and connections to use in the future, where he foresees himself continuing to work in the non-profit sector helping the community. Gianni is looking forward to becoming well acquainted with the community of Indianapolis–a completely unexplored and new area for him. Throughout the year, Gianni looks forward to exploring the area while strengthening his connection to both God and the people around him. Gianni will be serving as the Food Pantry and Community Outreach Coordinator for Indy Hunger Network.
