Support Our Neighbors in Kentucky: A Letter from Bishop Jennifer

Dear ones:

Our neighbors in the Diocese of Kentucky are dealing with unfathomable losses in the wake of the devastating tornadoes that ripped through their state late last week. Earlier this week, I reached out to Bishop Terry White of Kentucky, who informed me that the most effective means of supporting his diocese is to make a financial contribution that can be disbursed quickly to meet local needs.

Please consider making an immediate donation to the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund. The Diocese of Kentucky is already distributing funds for urgent needs.

Many of the churches stricken by the tornado cannot currently accept direct online donations, but some can:

Donate to Christ Church Bowling Green.
Donate to St. John’s, Murray here
Donate to Grace Episcopal, Paducah here

The Bishop’s Discretionary Fund will be available to all the congregations and communities in the path of the tornado.

To donate by check:
Diocese of KY Bishop’s Discretionary Fund
with tornado relief in the memo line and mail to
The Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky
425 S. 2nd Street Suite 200
Louisville, KY 40202.

Please pray for our neighbors who have suffered so much devastation, and watch the newsletter for updates on how to help as new opportunities develop.
