T-shirts

Participants are encouraged to increase our visibility by wearing our IndyDio Pride t-shirts or IndyDio Pride child t-shirts. The proceeds from the shirts will be split between Trinity Haven and Diocesan presence at Indy Pride.

These shirts are available to order for home delivery. We recommend ordering by May 30 in order to get them in time for the Indy Pride.

2025 Diocesan Pride Photo Album

We loved seeing all of the photos from around the Diocese last year, so let’s make a 2025 Pride album again this year! It’s extra helpful if you put the church and city in the naming of the photo then I can tag your church on Facebook.

Click here to upload your photos or email them to us by clicking here.

Volunteer Details

Thank you for volunteering with the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis at 2025 Indy Pride! Your gifts of time and talents make our participation in the Parade and Celebration on the Circle events possible. We appreciate your spirit of strength and courage to live out the call to proclaim that God loves you – no exceptions.

The Pride Parade and Celebration on the Circle are rain or shine events. Please plan accordingly and know that we will be there!

Indy Parade Details for Volunteers

Date of Parade: Saturday, June 14
Time Parade Begins: 10:00 a.m. ET
We are in Group B and do not expect to be walking until 11am or after. We will have our worship service at the line up.
Line up to be in the parade: 9:45 a.m. ET

We have a float and will walk the mile of the parade alongside the float.

If you are traveling with a group of people, take a group selfie at the very start – This way you have a picture in the event you get separated. If you have valuables, carry them securely in a front pocket or in a secure bag. There are many people at the Pride Parade, so be careful to not leave valuables in plain sight

If there are protesters present, do not engage with them. The Pride Parade officials are tasked with the safety of the crowd and have safety officials and protocols in place to keep us secure. Please be aware and respectful of our safety officials and the Pride volunteers.

Promotional videos and photos will be taken at all events, including the Indy Pride Parade and the Indy Pride Festival. By entering the parade, you grant Indy Pride, Inc., permission to use your likeness in all future promotional material, including but not limited to social media outlets, brochures, videos, and other printed materials. Diocesan communicators will be present, so we ask that you please don’t make any comments to the media.

What to Expect Before the Parade

Expect to wait in line for up to 2 hours before the parade begins. There will be a prayer service in the lineup around 9:30 am. We will have a prayer service in the line up, body glitter and temporary tattoos.

Please note that we will be waiting in the sun or the rain. Jugs of water to refill personal bottles will be available. Porta Potties will be near for restrooms.

What to Expect During the Parade

Volunteers will walk the mile of the parade alongside the float. Volunteers will either carry a flag, church banner, or hand out swag to people watching the parade. You may not toss items along the parade route but must hand them. We will have either hand fans or bags with candy to hand out.

People who are not comfortable walking a mile may ride on the float. Small children with one adult can ride on the float.

There are lots of people and excitement. Be aware that it is a very loud environment. If you struggle with noise, consider bringing headphones.

Walking in the parade is quick! From the start to the end it will take 15-20 minutes. Waiting for the start is the hardest part.

What to Expect After the Parade

Flags will be collected at the float. If you have leftover supplies please return them to the float.

Indy Celebration on the Circle Details for Volunteers

Volunteers will attend and interact with the Indy Pride Celebration on the Circle at a 10’x10’ booth at the Indy Pride Celebration on the Circle located downtown on Monument Circle on Saturday, June 14th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. A map of the Celebration is available online. We anticipate the booth being in the Vendor Village.

There are up to four people at the booth at one time. Volunteer roles include helping engage and interact with celebration goers. Join us for a chance to speak about The Episcopal Church and share our vision of a loving, liberating, life-giving God.

Although we will be under a tent, please bring sunblock or be otherwise prepared for the sun and heat! There is very little shade in our tent area.

All bags for the Festival must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC. Small non-clear clutch-style bags or fanny packs smaller than 4.5” x 6.5” will be allowed.

You are allowed one unopened non alcoholic beverage in the original container. Empty refillable water bottle are also allowed to be used at the Hydration Stations. We will have a bottle of water for volunteers at the booth, but strongly recommend that you bring a personal water bottle to stay hydrated.

There is no power available; Please bring your devices charged!
