Diocesan Events Cancelled Until Mid-April

Bishop Jennifer has written to clergy to say that, out of an abundance of caution and desire to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, all diocesan events scheduled to take place in the next month have been postponed or cancelled. This includes the clergy conference planned for March 16-18, which has been postponed, and the Blessing of Oils and Renewal of Vows service scheduled for April 8, which has been cancelled. Organizers of the Civil Rights pilgrimage scheduled for March 21-24 have notified participants that it has been postponed.
“Slowing the spread of coronavirus is the most important thing we can do to care for the vulnerable among us,” Bishop Jennifer said. “As the situation unfolds, it seems prudent to limit travel and gatherings that bring people together across distances. We also want to avoid any situation that might expose all of our leaders to risk at the same time. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will be in touch regularly with updates.”
