Welcoming the New Program Director for Centering All Children in Worship

We are excited to announce that Jolene Johnston has been named the Program Director for the Centering All Children in Worship initiative. She brings over two decades of experience in children’s ministry, music education, and faith-based curriculum design. Rooted in a deep commitment to nurturing the spiritual lives of children, she currently serves as Director of Children’s Ministry and Communications at Holy Family Episcopal Church in Fishers. Her early career as an elementary music educator was marked by a passion for creative expression, multicultural inclusion, and community-building through the arts.

She holds a Master of Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Duquesne University. Across all her work, she is devoted to creating worship experiences where children are fully seen, fully valued, and joyfully engaged in the life of the Church.

The Centering All Children in Worship program aims to enhance worship practices and inclusivity for children in our congregations. The initiative explores sensory-rich approaches, collaborative arts, and leadership development to ensure every child—of all abilities—is fully supported in worship. Watch for more information about upcoming ways to connect with this exciting new program.
