Dear Ones,
I write to share the news and bid your prayers for the Rev. Julia E. Whitworth who has been named to the preliminary slate of nominees for Bishop Diocesan of Massachusetts. Mother Julia’s many gifts have strengthened the people and ministries of Trinity Episcopal Church, Indianapolis where she has served as rector since 2016, and have deepened our diocesan witness to the love of Jesus Christ. Standing for election to the episcopate takes one on a beautiful, vulnerable, and Spirit-filled journey. Please pray for Julia, her family, and the people of Trinity church in this time of discernment. Please pray, also, for the Diocese of Massachusetts as they prepare to elect a new bishop diocesan, and for the other candidates who have offered themselves for ministry.
