We’re looking for some new designs for the Diocese of Indianapolis’s presence at Pride celebrations around the state this summer! In recent years we’ve had t-shirts that communicate the message of God’s inclusive love as preached in our churches, and help create a unified visual impact in Pride parades. We’ve also handed out stickers and fans – but if you have ideas for other kinds of swag to hand out along the parade route and at the booth, send them in.
Designs may include words and images. They may incorporate logos and the look and feel of the brand identity of the diocese and/or The Episcopal Church, but are not required to do so. We seek designs that:
- Communicate the inherent worth of the person seeing/receiving the design in the eyes of God
- Are simple enough to be viewed from a 6-10 foot distance
- Have an emotional or humorous impact
- Someone who isn’t Episcopalian might be willing to wear
- Will be relevant to Pride celebrations anywhere in Indiana, not just Indy Pride
- T-shirt designs should be front and back, and able to be produced on Bonfire, ideally in multiple colors. See this guide to Bonfire’s design specifications.
- Provide information about where one can learn more about the diocese, without focusing on the diocese as an institution. This can be as simple as incorporating the diocese’s URL: indydio.org
You will retain copyright to your design. However, by submitting your design, you agree to grant the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis a perpetual non-exclusive right to use your design for the purpose of enhancing the diocese’s presence at Pride celebrations. Winning designers will receive bragging rights and a $200 honorarium.
Net proceeds of any sales of Pride items will support Trinity Haven, a cooperating ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis.
