Bishop Jennifer Talks About Food Justice

On August 5, Bishop Jennifer joined author and New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer for a conversation about hospitality in our time and how churches and restaurants can pivot to adapt quickly as they emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. The conversation was hosted by the Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York City. Watch it here.

Bishop Jennifer has a decades-long interest in food justice, and has long been inspired by Danny Meyer, who is executive director of Union Square Hospitality Group and the author of the best-selling book “Setting the Table.”

In addition, this fall Bishop Jennifer will host the first two episodes of a half-hour podcast about growing and preparing food and food justice. The podcast is called “Spades, Spoons, Soul” and is co-hosted by Good News Gardens Coordinator Brian Sellers-Peterson and Episcopal Church Staff Officer for Evangelism Jerusalem Greer.
