DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for Lay Eucharistic Visitor (LEV) online training to be held Thursday\, February 27 from 4:00- 5:30 p.m. ET/3:00-4:30 p.m. CT.  This training provides basic formation for those who have been invited by their clergy to serve as LEVs and for those who need to be relicensed. The ministry of the Lay Eucharistic Visitor extends the hospitality of the Eucharist to those who cannot be present with the gathered community on Sunday. \nClick here to register and here for more information about LEV requirements.

SUMMARY:Preaching Among Friends - January 2025
DESCRIPTION:Preaching Among Friends is a six-week online workshop for lay preachers\, suitable for beginners and for experienced preachers looking to hone their craft. This course addresses the unique positions of lay preachers by offering the chance to claim their voice to preach\, craft relevant sermons they believe with one clear message of Good News\, and apply a sustainable practice that respects the limited amount of time they may have for sermon prep. The course will meet one evening each week for 75 minutes in the early evening for the first five weeks. There will be an average of two hours of homework per week. In the sixth week\, the class will meet nightly as preachers draft their sermons in real time. \nThe cost of the course is $250. $200 will be refunded to you upon successful completion of the course.
