SUMMARY:In-Person Safe Church Training for IndyDio Leaders
DESCRIPTION:Are you a leader at your church or organization who needs to take Safe Church courses? \nDo you wish you didn’t have to go online to complete course modules? \nAre you interested in an opportunity to complete those courses all in one day with other leaders? \nIf you answered yes to any of these\, then save the date! Kelly Nickson\, the Coordinator for Congregational Development and Safe Church\, will host an all-day in-person training at St. Paul’s Indianapolis on Saturday\, March 7 for those in the Diocese who need to acquire or renew their Safe Church certification. All 10 Safe Church\, Safe Communities courses will be offered during this day-long training\, and lunch will be provided. Registration is $5 to help cover the cost of lunch and refreshments; if\, however\, this cost would be a barrier to participation\, please reach out to Kelly Nickson. \nClick here to see additional details and to register to participate in the training.

DESCRIPTION:The 186th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church\, Indianapolis on November 10-11\, 2023. \nEvents on Friday will begin with a noon book signing with this year’s keynote speaker\, Cole Arthur Riley\, before her workshop at 1:00 p.m. EDT. \nIf you are only interested in attending Cole Arthur Riley’s workshop at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Friday\, you can register for free by selecting the ‘Speaker Cole Arthur Riley Only’ registration option. This will not include any meals\, workshops\, or programming\, though participation in the book signing earlier that day is welcome. \nAdditional workshops will be offered through Friday afternoon\, followed by a sung Evening Prayer service at 5:15 p.m. EDT and dinner at 6:30 p.m. EDT. \nSaturday’s schedule will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m.\, EDT followed by the opening prayer for the day’s business meetings at 9:00 a.m. EDT. All candidates for confirmation need to be registered and include a list of their presenters (up to four people) with their registration\, along with the parish contact person. A rehearsal is scheduled to begin 1-hour before the service (2 p.m. Eastern/1 p.m. Central)\, and the candidates and presenters are asked to attend.
