Refugee Resettlement:  A Message and an Opportunity from the Bishop

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

exodusDear Friends,

Many of you will have heard that Exodus, our local Episcopal Migration Ministry partner, has stated they intend to move ahead with the resettlement of refugees from Syria, even in the face of Governor Pence’s refusal to have that happen.

I want to remind you that we have three anonymous gifts (made known to me well before this controversy arose) of $500 each for parishes deciding to help with this resettlement effort.  To learn more, view the information below or go to www.episcopalchurch.org/emm or www.exodusrefugee.org.  Please contact me if you decide to become involved, and I will see that you have the offered funds.

Thank you in advance for being willing to “strive for justice and peace among all people, respecting the dignity of every human being.”

Have a safe, wonderful Thanksgiving, a blessed Advent and the holiest of Christmas seasons,
