Christian formation is a life-long, transforming process through which the stories, traditions, rituals and insights of the faith community become integrated into every aspect of an individual’s life. All life experiences are occasions of formation which have the potential to deepen our experiences of God and relationships with others.
The Lifelong Christian Formation Committee in the Diocese of Indianapolis serves to promote lifelong growth in the knowledge, service and love of God as followers of Christ as outlined by the Charter for Lifelong Christian Formation adopted at General Convention 2009. The committee meets one or more times a year for networking and training purposes and also encourages participation and leadership in broader diocesan Christian formation events.
