DESCRIPTION:God calls ALL believers to ministry. How can we grow closer to God so that we can hear that call? And once we’ve heard it\, how do we say “YES!” \nIn this day long retreat at St. Francis In-the-Fields Episcopal Church\, we will try-on skills for hearing God’s call through practices such as centering prayer\, lectio divina\, journaling\, writing a spiritual autobiography\, and weather permitting\, walking a labrynth. We will also recognize the myriad ways in which we are already living into God’s call. \nFor those who think they may be called to ordained ministry\, there will be information on how to enter the process. \nThis event is designed for all believers – those seeking to deepen their spiritual response to their lay call as well as those who are contemplating becoming deacons and priests. \nCost is $15 to cover cost of lunch.
