The 185th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis will be held on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at the Embassy Suites in Plainfield. In addition to delegates and clergy, all members of the diocese are welcome to attend. Watch this page and future editions of the diocesan newsletter for more information, and registration.
Preliminary Schedule
Friday, November 4 Preliminary Schedule:
- 1 p.m. Exhibit Hall opens
- 1 to 5 p.m. Optional workshops
- 5:30 pm. Social hour
- 6:30 p.m. Dinner
- 7:30 to 9 p.m. Dance party
Saturday, November 5 Preliminary Schedule:
- 8 a.m. Exhibit Hall opens
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Morning Prayer, Convention Business, Noonday Prayer, Bishop’s Address and Eucharist
Childcare:
Childcare and children’s activities will be available on Saturday. If you will need childcare on Friday, please email Canon Kristin White.
Nominations
Clergy and lay leaders will be elected by Neighborhoods and during Diocesan Convention to serve on the following bodies:
- Neighborhood Conveners
- Executive Council
- Standing Committee
- Commission on Ministry
- Waycross Board
- Disciplinary Board
- General Convention Deputy
Bishop Jennifer will appoint clergy and lay leaders to the following committees:
- Budget Formation
- Constitution & Canons (Diocesan Convention Committee)
- Executive Council
- Investment & Finance
- Mission Strategy
- Personnel Policy & Compensation
- Resolutions (Diocesan Convention Committee)
