REMEMBERING AND REFLECTING UPON CONSECRATION WEEK
www.indydio.org is continuing to post up resources related to the historic Consecration and Ordination of the The Right Reverend Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows and all of the related activities of that incredible week. Video resources now posted include the complete Consecration and Ordination service and the hi-definition version of the celebration at St. Christopher’s, Carmel for Bishop Waynick’s retirement. Currently, albums with close to 1,000 photographs from our diocesan photo team are linked to the site and most can be made available in high res format upon request. We continue the massive task of sorting through video, photos, and other resources and will be adding to the collection frequently. Thanks for your patience as we continue to archive and document this amazing time in our history! If you have questions or offerings to add, please contact Kathy Copas or email@example.com.
FLOODING CONCERNS THIS WEEK IN INDYDIO—STAY ALERT!
Earlier this week we were contacted by Episcopal Relief and Development to explore flood concerns in the Midwest, including Indiana, based upon rainfall and flood projections by FEMA. Some areas of the diocese experienced flash flooding last week and more rain is beginning today as many streams and rivers are already exceeding their banks. Projections are for the potential for “moderate” to “major” flooding in parts of our diocese, especially the southwest. ERD is continuing to meet with us and provide FEMA reports. As you experience any flood issues in your church or community, please keep the diocesan household posted. An excellent, fast way to get the word out about your needs or offers of help is by posting up on our diocesan Facebook community group. We are blessed to be a part of the caring community of Episcopal Relief and Development, an organization that cares for persons in need, locally and globally, 24-7-365. Please consider supporting them with your prayers and gifts. For more information on ERD go to www.episcopalrelief.org

YOUR CHURCH TAX FILINGS DUE MAY 15
Annually, every church must file forms 103 and 104 (Business Tangible Personal Property Return), which may be obtained from your Township Assessor. These forms must be filed no later than May 15, 2017. We ask that all congregations obtain a receipted copy at the Assessor’s office upon filing and send a copy to the diocesan office to the attention of Kim Christopher. If you have made additions to your building or purchased property in the past year you also need to file a form 136. You may download the forms from the state website at http://www.in.gov/dlgf/4971.htm .
2018 FIRST BUDGET DRAFT
The Budget Formation Group has met and begun work on the 2018 budget. At this point, the process invites suggestions and conversation. In early summer, Bishop Jennifer will be hosting listening sessions that may impact the budget formation before going to our convention. At this link, http://indydio.org/2018-budget-resources/ , you will find the draft of the 2018 budget with all requests that have been made and an accompanying letter from the The Rt. Rev. Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows and the Chair of the Budget Committee, The Rev. C. Davies Reed. Also included on the website, are the calculations for the 2018 apportionments based on the current recommended budget… which is still not a balanced budget.
