With eager anticipation, Episcopalians across central and southern Indiana and throughout the wider church await the publication of the Slate of Candidates for the Election of the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis. Your Search Committee has concluded our work, and with the consent of the Standing Committee, we will announce our slate of candidates very soon. Want to know more? Here’s a link to a bulletin insert your congregation can use this Sunday, July 10. Questions? Email us at
All active clergy and their spouses are highly encouraged to attend this wonderful conference which is funded in part by the Church Pension Fund. It will be held on August 26-27 at the Westin in downtown Indianapolis. Please register as soon as possible.
The cost ($40-$50) is being subsidized by the Lilly Grant for Economic Challenges. The $40 version is for your individual registration and hotel stay. The $50 version is if you choose to bring your spouse/partner.
There is a reduced fee should you choose to stay offsite.  You just pay the registration fee of $15 for yourself or $25 if you choose to bring your spouse/partner.
Parking at the hotel is 100% reimbursable. There will be forms available during the conference for you to complete in order to be reimbursed for the parking.
CPG hosts this event every five years. The conference offers individual consultations and information on financial planning, retirement and your pension fund as well as wellness. It is a great getaway with time for your spouse and you to tackle some of the issues that demand our time and that we tend to put off in the course of the everyday “busy-ness” of life. Young clergy need to plan now for their futures. Clergy that are close to retirement will have time with experts to help in reviewing their information.
In the past, many have complained that this conference is not held often enough… so don’t miss this opportunity!
All lay employees participating in a Church Pension Fund pension plan are invited (and urged!), at no cost, to attend this one-day event, August 25, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis. We ask each parish that has lay employees under a pension plan to provide a paid day away to attend this Planning for Tomorrow conference. It is a great time to gather with other church employees and to better understand what resources they currently have, what they need to do, and what is available to enhance their retirement. Consider this as a continuing education day and help your lay employees get registered. Lunch will be provided. We ask that employers reimburse their employees for travel.
Here are positions that are open for election… Your opportunity!
And, here you will find the nomination form and procedure for nominations.
Again this year, the Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) has prepared material to aid our churches in preparing and executing a successful annual campaign.  To preview the offering, go here then click on “Member Resources.”
The diocese is a member so use “living” for the log in and “generously” for the password.
