BISHOP’S CELEBRATION PLUS A MARATHON IN CARMEL THIS SATURDAY
The Carmel Marathon will be taking place at the same time as Bishop Cate’s 11 a.m. celebration at St. Christopher’s. Please approach St. Christopher’s from the west using US 31 and Main St. You are urged to arrive early.
The marathon will all be just east of St. Christopher’s. Here is a link to the marathon map.

UPDATE ON THE NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS AT THE APRIL 29 ORDINATION
BANNERS… Parish banners will be processing. Each parish needs a banner bearer, banner and banner stand. If you haven’t already done so, please get the name of your parish’s bannerbearer to Peggy Allen or 812-239-6826.  All volunteers need to report to Clowes Hall by 8:30 a.m. on April 29.

WAYNICK CENTER FOR YOUTH FORMATION AND CAMPING
At the request of Bishop Cate, in honor of her twenty years of service to the diocese, gifts are being collected for a Waycross project in support of youth ministry. Please click these two sites to see the details for the Waynick Center for Youth Formation and Camping.

JOINING THE SANCTUARY AND SOLIDARITY NETWORK
Interested in joining an interfaith Sanctuary and Solidarity Network?  One of the key ways to be involved is by being trained as a Rapid Responder. Rapid Responders are peaceful witnesses at critical events, such as a raid by ICE agents, a hate crime, or an illegal “stop and frisk” by the police. If you are interested in learning more about joining a Rapid Response Team, come to this training session:

  • Mother’s Day Lunch- May 14
    Bring your mom to Waycross for Mother’s Day! The Mother’s Day Lunch is a long-standing Waycross tradition. Join us for lunch and time in the peaceful outdoors.   • Women’s Week 2- July 9-13
    This year, we are offering a second session of Women’s Week! We still have spots open for this session. Please note that childcare and day camp is not available for this session. Learn more and register here .

JOIN THE YOUTH STEERING COMMITTEE
Applications are now being accepted to join the Youth Steering Committee (YSC) for the 2017-18 school year. We are seeking both youth and adult members to join the YSC. Youth applicants must be in the second semester of 8th grade or older. Adult applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have current Safeguarding God’s Children training. Complete expectations, requirements, and an application are available here as a PDF. CALLING ALL DIOCESAN YOUTH
We are looking for youth from the Diocese to serve as Runners during this year’s Strawberry Festival at Christ Church Cathedral. Runners must be available to work in two–hour shifts on the day of the festival, Thursday, June 8. Youth Ministries will receive a donation for every shift we fill!
