Bishop-elect, the Rev. Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows, has begun scheduling her Parish Visits for the upcoming year. Here is what we have so far with more to come.
- March 19 – St. James, Vincennes and St. John’s, Washington
- March 26 – St. Christopher’s Carmel
- April 02 – Trinity, Bloomington
- April 09 – St. Francis-in-the-Field, Zionsville
- April 16 (Easter Sunday) – St. John’s, Bedford
We will be updating this list as more dates are confirmed. These will also be posted on the Diocesan Calendar.
This will be the Bishop’s last round of visits before her retirement on April 29. 2017. They follow the usual pattern, which means she will be present for all liturgies, and will preach and preside. She will also want to meet with Vestry or Bishop’s Committee members to hear from them about the state of the parish; how priorities are discerned, what programs are in place, what is life-giving, what feels difficult, what are the plans and goals for the future, and how the parish is engaging its community – both through outreach and through partnerships of service with other churches, groups or agencies. For complete information about her visits and plans, please download and read both the cover letter and the schedule.
